How are clearences done
We will arrive fully equipped with all the necessary tools and equipment, and carry out the clearance in the most efficient and organised manner possible. Items such as cupboard and wardrobe contents will be carefully packed into boxes or bags, depending on what is most suitable.
Larger pieces of furniture may need to be dismantled if they were assembled in place and cannot be removed due to their size.
Any items requiring disconnection will be handled safely and appropriately.
Once the clearance is complete, we will carry out a thorough final inspection to ensure all rooms have been emptied. If the client is present, we will invite them to conduct a final walkthrough with us to confirm everything is satisfactory.
Payment is due upon completion, and a receipt will be provided. If the clearance is part of a probate process, we can also supply a formal invoice for your records.
Finally, we will ask you to complete a brief satisfaction survey. This helps us continually improve our service and allows us to address any feedback or concerns promptly.
White goods
We are happy to remove any unwanted white goods.
However, please note that we are unable to disconnect electric cookers that are hardwired into the property, and gas cookers can only be disconnected if they are fitted with a bayonet connection.
Dishwashers and washing machines can be disconnected upon request, provided they have an individual stopcock. However, it is preferable for these appliances to be disconnected in advance to minimise the risk of water leakage.
Any exceptions to what you can take
Garage liquid items – eg paint, white spirit– these need to be taken to a local household recycling centre
Asbestos and other hazardous materials – we are not licensed to carry or dispose of hazardous materials, please contact a specialist removal service
